DESCRIPTION:Rum Day Rumble – 8/15/2026 \n3:00 pm til dark\nA joint effort for fun with; \nPort Aransas Parrot Head Club \n& \nPadre Island Parrot Head Club of CC \nLocation – Beach MM 99\, Access Rd 2\, N of the Mustang Island State\nPark\nEach Club is to bring:\n1. A cooler of water for the attendees\n2. Trash bags\n3. Canopies\n4. Tables\n5. Plates and paper napkins\nPIPHC is to bring:\n1. 2 oz cups for the Rum drink competition\n2. 8 Clipboards\n3. Traveling Trophy\n4. Pirates Treasure Chest – lockable with slot for coins\, jewels\nPAPHC is to bring:\n1. Generator\n2. Mango Mani\n3. Pirates Treasure Chest – lockable with slot for coins\, jewels\nAttendees are to bring:\n1. BYOC – chair\n2. BYOB – beverage\n3. Awning for shade\n4.Snacks to share\n5. Rum Drinks for the competition\n6. Skeletons decorated as Pirates or Tropical/Parrot Heads (with a chair to be used for\nstaging)\n7. Kites & Flags\n8. Sunscreen and sunglasses\n9. Pirate-themed attire\, swim suits\, etc. \nEach Club’s Treasure Chest will be the collection point for Gold Coins & Precious Jewels. To be\ncounted after all Contests are complete. In the case of a tie\, the Club with the most attendees\nwins:\n1. Corn Hole Tournament – PAPHC/Rick Johnston in charge.\n15 Point games\, Single elimination\, 2 people (same Club) per team. Blind draw of individual\nnames for pairing teams. Play starts promptly at 3:30 pm.\nEach player gets a Gold Coin\, with Winners of each match collecting from Losers. After final-\nWinners coins go into Treasure Chest.\nLimited to 4 teams per Club in the Tourney. If more Members sign up\, have playoff to narrow to\n4 teams per club.\n*If we have 8 teams per Club\, we could use a 16 team bracket. (15 games)\n* If we narrow to 4 teams per Club\, use an 8 team bracket. (7 games) \n2. Beer Can Toss – PAPHC/Rick Johnston in charge.\nOpen to all and everyone gets 3 throws. Each player gets a Gold Coin. Scoring tabulated by\n_______. 1 point scored for each knocked over can. Add the top 10 scores from each Club.\nClub with the highest total score wins and earns 25 Gold Coins. \n4. Peg Leg Pete’s Phlip Phlop Phling – PIPHC/Ted Morris in charge.\nOpen to all\, each player gets a Gold Coin and 1 chance to Phling a Phlop. Draw a line in the\nsand and mark an out of bounds area. Contestant kicks 1 flip flop off his foot and the longest\ndistance (that's in bounds) wins for their Club. Furthest Female wins 10 Gold Coins\, Male wins\n10 Coins\, Overall Winner wins 10 coins and Barefoot Pirate Notoriety.\n5. Dead Eye Phlip Phlopping – PIPHC/Ted Morris in Charge.\nOpen to all\, each player gets a Gold Coin and 1 chance to compete. Wearing an Eye Patch\,\nPhlip each (2) flip flops into Hula Hoop circles to earn points of 1\, 2\, 3 points. Scoring tabulated\nby ______\nAdd top 5 scores to determine winning Club\, who gets 25 Gold Coins.\n5. Rum Grog Contest  – PIPHC/Bonnie Lewis in Charge.\nContestants are to bring approximately 1 gallon (128 oz.)\, which is 64 – 2 oz servings. The drink\nmust contain rum. Presentation helps. Weighted oriental take-out cups for voting cups. Each\n‘taster’ gets a Most Valuably Precious Jewel to vote with. Drink with most jewels wins and gets\n10 additional Jewels or Gold Coins. Contestants put their votes into their Club’s Treasure Chest.\n6. Davey Jone’s Skeleton Contest –\nContestants are to provide\, dress and decorate their skeleton(s) in pirate or tropical/parrot head\nattire. A designated area will be for all Skeletons. Recommend a beach chair or something to\nstage their ‘friend’\, encourage creativity.\nWeighted oriental take-out cups for voting cups. Each person gets a Precious Jewel to vote\nwith. The ‘bag ‘o bones’ with the most jewels wins and gets 10 additional Jewels or Gold Coins.\nContestants put their votes into their Club’s Treasure Chest.\n7. Bring Ladder Golf\, for individual play.
